2023-2024 Course 4 Wisconsin Real Estate Practice
This three-hour course provides focuses on topics related to your practice of real estate. We’ll begin in Chapter 1 with a discussion on advertising and a licensee’s obligation to be truthful in all communications. This goes beyond merely adhering to the laws and regulations, although we will certainly discuss various laws and visit the Truth in Advertising provisions in the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. In Chapter 3, we’ll review the Wisconsin Real Estate Examining Board’s authority to impose administrative discipline against licensees for violations and look at some recent disciplinary actions.

This three-hour elective course reviews some of the challenges associated with various types of real estate transactions. Chapter 1 reviews a licensee’s role in contract creation and reviews selected provisions in the standardized WB-11 Residential Offer to Purchase and the WB-25 Bill of Sale forms. Chapter 2 reviews some basic concepts related to zoning and land use before moving into a discussion of selected provisions in the WB-3 Vacant Land Listing Contract-Exclusive Right to Sell. Chapter 3 begins with quick look at the importance of agriculture in Wisconsin and the state’s Right to Farm law.
