Thirty (30) hours must be completed during the initial licensing period (Postlicensing Period 1), and 30 hours must be completed during the second license cycle (Postlicensing Period 2).
All of the postlicensing hours must be in Required subject areas. A licensee can repeat a course, just as long as it is in a different license cycle. So, if a course is taken for PL1, it can be taken again when the licensee is in PL2.
20:69:11:01.05. Required continuing education subject areas. Required continuing education subject areas may only be in the following subject areas:
-Real Estate Contracts
-Real Estate License Law
-Fair Housing
-Ethics
-Environmental Issues
-Antitrust
-The Americans with Disabilities Act
-Brokerage Services
*Any hours a licensee has completed in the subject areas of negotiation, business planning, technology, or marketing before July 1, 2015, count towards the licensee’s postlicensing education requirement.
