This course is designed to meet the 55-hour prelicensing curriculum requirement for real estate sales agents as set forth by the state of Maine. It provides foundational knowledge on real property and contract law, agency law and brokerage topics, the Maine Real Estate Commission, as well as other real estate-related topics important for the well-rounded professional, including real estate financing, appraisal, calculations, fair housing, land use, and more. The course helps students learn and retain knowledge using a variety of techniques, including instructional content, activities, case studies, video advice from experts, reviews, links to websites, and downloadable documents.
